INDUSTRIAL HEALTH SURVEY BY STUDENTS OF RAJA PEARY MOHAN COLLEGE

In the year 2022, collaborative work with industry has been initiated related to the Health status of workers of an Aluminium Industry of Hooghly District of West Bengal. A MOU has been signed between the college and industry for 3 years. An individual and altogether report on the health of workers has been sent to the industry at the end of this survey which was very informative. The benefits of this collaborative work are –

• Students can apply their practical knowledge and can gain hands-on experience in this field of study, learn how to handle the data, and statistical interpretation of results.
• Industry can increase their productivity by arranging this type of health camp. Workers as well as management can get information regarding the health status of workers, which is a mandatory protocol in this sector. The results of this survey will guide the management to find the ways through which they can protect the health of workers in order to increase productivity.
